| "The open space underneath this staircase was essentially wasted and inevitably was used as a dumping ground. I was asked to maximise its use and did so by designing and building three large 'drawers' that slide out on castors. Each one has a pull handle concealed under its upper frame. Although the storage is only accessible from one side, the other side of the open space was closed off with a matching, framed panel." By email the client wrote: "... I just wanted to say that the understairs cupboard is wonderful and a real feature in the house. Many, many thanks for your skill, creativity and diligence." |
